Susan and I flew to godawful Las Vegas, rented a car, and drove to Utah. There we visited around Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. It was peak season, and crowded. I’d like to be there in October…

From there we drove to the Hopi reservation, where we spent three wonderful days. The Hopi are more spiritual than any other group of people I have ever been around, way more gracious than any white person deserves. But they did not let me photograph there.

We spent most of Rodeo Week in Prescott. Such a nice town! We spent a couple days exploring Route 66, then went rafting and camping at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
